About the Maker!
Hello there! My name is Kelly Johnson and I am a California based, multimedia artist. This year I became the full-time content creation specialist for MAS epoxies and I’m enjoying every minute of it! I love using my social media platforms to teach, entertain, and bring joy to viewers. I hope that my work can inspire others in the way others have inspired me.
I fell in love with the creative process at a very young age and have been creating ever since. For the last two years I have been focusing on fluid art and more recently, resin art. Speaking of resin…I am SO very excited to introduce to you the very first MAS Epoxies’ Table Top Pro LTD! It’s the same epoxy resin system that you know and love, but I am lucky enough to be featured on the bottle! If that isn’t cool enough, MAS Epoxies is donating 15% of every Table Top Pro LTD purchase to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation!
The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation is very dear to my heart because I am one of the many people living with Crohn’s disease.
In 2018, I went through a rough physical and mental phase with the diagnosis process of my Crohn’s disease. Crohn’s is a chronic, auto-immune disease that affects the lining of the digestive tract. I went through many months of pain, testing, medication trials, procedures, surgeries, and a whole lot of being bored on bed rest. I couldn’t fix or help most of those things, but I could fight the boredom! I spent hours searching YouTube, Pinterest and Instagram for fun craft ideas to help pass the time and distract me from my discomfort.
Now before I continue, let me give you a little background on myself. I have always loved art and the creative process; I even received my degree in studio art and graphic design. Being creative, in any form, has played a huge roll in my life for as long as I can remember. After doing my craft research, I went to my local craft store and left with weeks’ worth of art supplies to keep me occupied. On April 6, 2018, with under 800 followers on Instagram, I posted my very first acrylic pour. This was the beginning of something so amazing in my life! Let’s fast forward to the year 2020 where I now have over 188,000 followers on Instagram, work full time as the content creation specialist for MAS epoxies and have sold my art to people all around the world. Ultimately, Crohn’s brought me to where I am today, and it couldn’t be more fitting to help give back and support a foundation dedicated to helping those in need.
MAS Epoxies and I are so excited to share our love to this amazing maker community and to our loyal customers. We hope that you enjoy this limited time promotion, and I can’t wait to see who will be featured next!! Thank you for your support! Stay kreative and happy crafting!
